Founded in 2004 by Bill and Regina Burge, Countrystyle Fencing is a family owned and operated business based near Toowoomba in the heart of Queensland's Darling Downs.
Drawing on both their rural backgrounds, Bill and Regina established Countrystyle Fencing initially to provide a quality fencing service in the local rural area.
The gaining of our BSA licence (structural landscaping) opened opportunities to bring our county style of fencing to the residential market.
The BSA licence also allowed Countrystyle Fencing to expand into other types of residential fencing as well as commercial/industrial fencing. The residential market also brought opportunities to provide full landscaping packages to both new and existing homeowners.
Whether it be bringing life to an old, tired yard (see example at right) or starting from scratch… from the planning stage through to completion… Countrystyle Fencing now provides a comprehensive landscaping service.
In 2006, to allow us to construct larger, engineer-designed retaining walls (over 1m), our BSA licence was extended to include Builder - Low Rise class.
To accommodate the ever-increasing demand for timber & to combat arising freighting issues, we purchased our first truck in 2005.
Countrystyle Cartage…
With the truck's increasing contract work we purchased our first truck & dog combination later that year. Our second truck & dog combination in early 2006 brought the inception of “Countrystyle Cartage”. Our fleet comprise these two truck & dog combinations today mainly carting sandstone and all types of quarry product together with two crane trucks (one with tilt-tray & low-loader) and a prime-mover with 40' convertible trailer.
The Countrystyle fleet allows us to cover all our transport requirements internally by being able to shift just about anything from machinery, vehicles, steel, timber, rocks, sand, broken-down trucks, hay, plant & equipment, to compost and grain.
Run as a 'family'…
Countrystyle has come a long way from its early beginnings in 2004 with a 1979 ute, crowbar, shovel & chainsaw (which are still all in active service today). Like our early beginnings, our motto that “we don't profess to be the cheapest, but we try to be the best” is still in active service today. Bill & Regina's rural backgrounds, combined with Bill's experience as a diesel fitter/service manager, and Regina's finance industry experience have proven an invaluable combination in the management and operation of the business.
Our business is not only owned and run by a family, but it is run as a 'family', with each and every staff member a valued and important part of this 'family'.
