Countrystyle Cartage
Countrystyle Cartage had a humble beginning in 2005 with the purchase of our first truck (a 1978 Ford Louisville) to complement our fencing operation. Louey was soon joined by 'Billy Cart' and 'Go Cart', our two truck & dog combinations still in service today.
Both trucks are bogie drive International S-Lines set up with tippers (with two-way tailgates) and superdogs. 'Billy Cart' and it's superdog are designed for rock cartage and are primarily used for carting sandstone from the various quarries near Helidon as well as bushrock, concrete etc.
The alloy bodies on 'Go Cart' & it's superdog are beneficial in the weight stakes, therefore they are used primarily for carting sand, crusher dust, roadbase etc. Both trucks however are versatile and are available to provide cartage for just about any product that unloaded via tipping, either in combination or as body tipper only. They are also used on construction sites when required and all our drivers have their Qld Health & Safety Construction Blue Cards to allow them to perform this work.
Both these trucks have been utilised regularly either in combination or as a body truck by Quarries, Councils, Civil Contractors, Rural Businesses, and your regular home-owner.

Smaller machinery (skid steers, 5.5t excavator, tipper)
Our 5.5 tonne rubber-tracked, zero-swing excavator with batter bucket, earth buckets, ripper, rock grab and blade is utilised for building works, general earthworks, tank holes, and specialises in constructing block & rock walls.
To maximise our time management on each project, and to minimise clients' costs, we provide our own bobcats, excavator and tippers. The skid-steers, excavator, and tippers are utilised regularly either in combination or individually.
Crane Trucks
Two International 2670, 8 Wheel bogie drive, twin steer crane trucks form part of our fleet. One of these (“Tea Cart”) has also been fitted with a 8.5m Tilt Tray and is probably our most handy unit. It is capable of transporting anything that a normal flat-bed crane truck can, but with the additional benefit of the Tilt-Tray and a low loader.
Both trucks are used to transport:-
- Steel
- Timber
- Large rocks
- Sandstone (sawn/cut blocks/tiles)
- Hay
- Machinery (farm machinery & construction machinery)
- Plant & equipment - Anything palletised.
Plus 'Tea Cart' has the additional capabilities of transporting vehicles on the tilt tray as well as larger machinery (eg tractors & headers) on the low loader with the outriggers fitted. This makes it a very handy unit to turn up with at clearing sales etc, as it can accommodate reasonably large & varied loads.
Both these trucks have been utilised regularly at Sawmills, Steel Yards, Farms, Clearing Sales, and Construction Sites.
Semi-Trailer
Countrystyle Cartage added an International S/Line Prime mover with 40' convertible trailer to its fleet in 2008. This unit is used for the cartage of longer lengths and larger quantities of steel, timber & hay, and grain when in its converted state.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance programs, extensive repairs and modifications are carried out “in-house” by our own staff.
